Megan Johnson
 Megan grew up in Worthington, Ohio, and attended college in Indiana. Megan’s first longer-term experience with mission work began in 1998 when she went to Uganda and spent two years working with university students. During this time, her love for Africa developed, and she returned home in 2000 hoping to return one day for long-term work in Africa. In 2003, she completed a Master’s degree in Missions and Spiritual Formation. Megan has always loved nature and gardening and began to have a desire to have a practical skill to use in Africa. In 2006, Megan headed to Fort Myers, Florida, where she began a one-year agriculture internship with ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization). During her internship, she took care of the Farming God’s Way demonstration plot at ECHO’s farm, and eventually traveled to Zimbabwe to learn first-hand from the founder of this powerful ministry.
Megan completed NMSI’s COAT training in July of 2009 and is currently raising support in order to return to Zimbabwe for long-term work with
Farming God’s Way, now called Foundations for Farming.
She plans to work with rural farmers in helping them increase their profitability and sense of personal dignity and worth as greatly loved children of God. Her desire is to return to Zimbabwe in 2010, before the major planting season begins in November.
